Gail (Anagick) Schubert, J. D., (Inuit), Board Vice-Chair, is the Executive Vice President & General Counsel for Bering Straits Native Corporation, a Native Regional Corporation based in Nome, Alaska. Ms. Schubert is also President/CEO of several of the Bering Straits Native Corporation’s subsidiaries. Ms. Schubert is an attorney licensed in Alaska and New York, and received her JD/MBA from Cornell University, and BA from Stanford University. She Chairs the Boards of the Alaska Native Heritage Center, Akeela Treatment Services, and the Alaska Retirement Management Board; is Vice President of the ANCSA Regional Association; and Treasurer of the AFN Board of Directors and the Alaska Native Arts Foundation. She also represents the ANJC on the Alaska Rural Justice and Law Enforcement Commission. Ms. Schubert has been an ANJC Board member since 1994.
