Patrick AndersonPatrick M. Anderson is the father of three children, Ashley, Alexander, and Austin. He is Tlingit Indian (Eagle moiety, Thunderbird Clan, from Yakutat) and Alutiiq (from Cordova). His Tlingit name is Daakudein.

A 1975 graduate of the Princeton University Woodrow Wilson School of Public & International Affairs and a 1978 graduate of the University of Michigan Law School, Patrick has been an attorney in Alaska since 1978. Selected as an Outstanding Young Man of America in 1988, Patrick has also served as Anchorage's municipal lobbyist, as Director of the Alaska Economic Development Center, and as an Assistant Professor of Public Administration and Law Science at the University of Alaska Southeast.

Patrick serves on the boards of Sealaska Corporation, the Alaska Native Justice Center (Chairman), the Alaska Native Heritage Center, and as a Commissioner on the Alaska Native Justice and Law Enforcement Commission. Patrick also serves as co-chair of the Alaska Federation of Natives Human Resource Committee, and as Parliamentarian for the National Congress of American Indians and the Alaska Federation of Natives. Patrick coaches baseball as an NPA certified pitching coach, collects books on Alaska history and culture, and occasionally makes jewelry as a hobby.
