The Youth Advocacy Program is a State approved Community Diversion Panel (CDP), providing free monitoring, case management and treatment services for minors convicted of a first offense of Minor in Consuming or Possession (MCA) with a Suspended Imposition of Sentence (SIS). The Youth Advocacy Program also provides free monitoring, case management and treatment services for minors living in rural areas outside the Anchorage area who are convicted of one or more Minor in Consuming or Possession charges.
Prime for Life
The Youth Advocacy Program offers the Prime for Life Alcohol/Drug Information School for FREE. The Prime for Life Class is a proven alcohol and substance abuse risk-reduction program for youth under 21. Through Prime for Life you are provided with a confidential, safe and non-judgmental learning environment that teaches you to protect what you value most by making healthy choices. Prime for Life helps you to identify personal risk and make informed choices.
Prime for Life class is for youth who are 14 – 21 who have a desire to have accurate information when confronted by alcohol and/or are referred by community partners, tribal or state courts, friends or family members and/or facing a first time Minor in Consuming or Possession offense.
